The CPMR IMC organised a series of events linked to MedCoast4BG/Co-Evolve4BG/CO-EVOLVE at the UfM premises back-to-back with the Mediterranean Sustainable Tourism Convention 2019 on 3-5 June in Barcelona

On the occasion of the Mediterranean Sustainable Tourism Convention 2019 -organised by the Interreg MED Sustainable Tourism community- which took place on 5-7 June in Barcelona, CO-EVOLVE partners organised a series of conferences linked to the Union for the Mediterranean (UfM) labelled MedCoast4BG and the ENI CBC MED Co-Evolve4BG.

These conferences aimed to take stock of the activities carried out so far by CO-EVOLVE and share its main related outcomes (Syntheses of Threats and Enabling Factors to Sustainable Tourism; Sustainability toolkit; Strategic planning at pilot areas scale; conclusions of the pilot actions in the 12 pilot sites) as well as to present the planned transferring/capitalising activities in collaboration with MedCoast4BG and Co-Evolve4BG. They brought together partners of the three projects as well as delegated from other partner countries (i.e. Morocco) and representatives from other projects.

The event included an internal meeting of the newly approved ENI CBC MED Co-Evolve4BG project, to officially launch its activities very soon, followed by a “Joint Vision Workshop” that consisted in an exchange between new Pilot Areas and CO-EVOLVE ones so as to reflect on how CO-EVOLVE tools and methodology could be used to ease the implementation of the new Pilot Areas (especially Co-Evolve4BG’s ones). The last meeting was dedicated to CO-EVOLVE’s Dissemination event during which CO-EVOLVE partners presented the project’s achievements and steps ahead. It was organised in the frame of the Mediterranean Sustainable Tourism Convention 2019 and attracted several external stakeholders, including many representatives from other Modular Projects from the Interreg MED Sustainable Tourism community.

Most CO-EVOLVE partners also took part in the Mediterranean Sustainable Tourism Convention 2019 to exchange on the outcomes of the projects of the Community.

MedCoast4BG/Co-Evolve4BG/CO-EVOLVE partners are now exploring other opportunities and initiative to further expand the project’s methodology, especially in Morocco and the southern Adriatic area.
