CO-EVOLVE stresses importance of tourism sustainability indicators in 'COAST Bordeaux 2017' symposium

The National Research Council - Institute of Marine Sciences of Italy (CNR-ISMAR) participated in the COAST Bordeaux 2017 event on behalf of CO-EVOLVE.

On this occasion, the CNR-ISMAR made a presentation entitled 'Developing proper indicators of tourism sustainability to protect Mediterranean coastal ecosystems'. The core of the talk addressed the challenge of developing indicators for expressing pollution and other pressures to coastal ecosystems (THREATS) and indicators for measuring coastal ecosystem protection (ENABLING FACTORS) which can be adequate at MED and at pilot area scale.
